PREAMBLE

An Agreement entered into this 23rd day of December, 2005 by and between the Daily and Sunday Freeman, Kingston, NY, hereinafter known as the Publisher, and the Kingston Newspaper Guild, Local 31180 chartered by The Newspaper Guild of Communication Workers of America, hereinafter known as the Guild, for itself and on behalf of the employees of the Publisher listed below:

All editorial department employees and commercial department employees, including those in the advertising department, business office, circulation and collection departments and maintenance personnel. A separate Agreement between the Publisher and the Guild covers mailroom employees, drivers and composing room employees as exclusively specified in that separate Agreement.

Excluding officers and/or stockholders, the Publisher, General Manager, Controller, Business Manager, Editor, Managing Editor, Assistant Managing Editor, City Editor, Life Editor, Sports Editor, Political Editor, Circulation Director, Confidential Assistant to the Controller, Office Manager, Advertising Director, Retail Advertising Manager, Classified Advertising Manager, Advertising Services Manager, Co-op Advertising Manager, Marketing Manager, Publisher's and General Manager's Confidential Secretaries, Carrier and Route Boys and Girls, Men and Women.
