ARTICLE X - TRANSFERS
1. No employees will be transferred by the Publisher to work in another city in excess of a thirty-five (35) mile radius of the Publisher's Kingston office, whether in the same enterprise or in other enterprises conducted by the Publisher, or by a subsidiary, related or parent company of the Publisher, without the employee's consent and payment of all transportation and other moving expenses of himself and family. There will be no reduction in salary or impairment of other benefits as a result of such transfer. An employee will not be penalized for refusing to accept a transfer.
2. No employee will be transferred to another classification, department or position without the employee's consent, except for a temporary transfer. An employee will not be penalized for refusing to accept such a transfer.
3. The term "temporary" transfer, as used in this article, includes only (a) any transfer not exceeding 30 days' duration or (b) a transfer induced by the illness absence, disability absence, absence on leave, or vacation absence of another employee or (c) a transfer induced by any personnel shortage.
